This is We…talking to you.

Left of Me – Gemini Syndrome

We like this one. This song talks about the splitting of ones’ mind, as a whole piece that shatters/breaks. Leaving both of us broken as one, cause we are two. An introverted description of ones’ thoughts as opposed to what one wonders about when they see their reflection (on the mirror).

Lyrics:

Focus, you’ll lose me
What a stupid game to play
The shadows that haunt me, hide in just the same way

Mother, can you, can you come and save me?
I can’t see you, but I’m afraid to look away
And I’m afraid to say

There’s nothing left of me!
I’m a shell of what I used to be!

No one can take away the things that I remember
The fire that used to burn is now a dying ember

Father, will you, will you try to help me?
I wish I could, I wish I could help you see reality!

There’s nothing left of me!
I’m a shell of what I used to be!
And I wish I could pray,
But no one out there’s listening!

Nothing left of me…
Nothing left of me…

The puzzle’s broken and scatted over the floor
The puzzles broken on the floor

The puzzles broken, its missing pieces
And I was hoping the missing piece was me!

No!

There’s nothing left of me!
I’m a shell of what I used to be!
And I wish I could pray,
But no one out there’s listening!

Don’t judge…just listen

Don’t judge…just listen. That’s what they teach you in therapy. The idea is not to retort, not to add to the conversation, not to respond. Just listen.

Part of understanding how this works helps with understanding empathy. Empathizing that the other person just needs someone to hear them out.

Don’t judge…just listen.
